As part of outreach of Sigma Labs, South Zone Science and Technology Centre, NJC Sigma Lab is inviting students to participating in the Sigma Research Attachment Programme.
This is a 2-week full time attachment at Sigma Labs (in NJC) from 4 Jun (Mon) to 15 Jun (Fri) 2007 and is meant for high-ability science students who are interested in life science research.
Students will be working on a simple research topic in groups of 3 under the mentorship of 2 research scientists from A*STAR.
The research scientists are attached to Sigma Labs as part of A*STAR's Scientist-in-School Programme. Such experience will give students an edge when they apply for longer research programme when they are in Junior College.
We are given 9 spaces for IP1 students who are interested. Students must be free and must be excused from any other school activity for the period of attachment. LAST TERMS SPIRE REFLECTION RUBRICS!
(assuming they apply for this term too)
Criteria 1: New things learnt
Give detailed information (at least 3 aspects) more than one area of new knowledge acquired with good detials
Criteria 2: Meaningful new knowledge (making connections, applying knowledge etc.)
Give more than one detailed example of new knowledge and elaborate on how it impacted/made most sense/was useful/perceived differently in a meaningful and insightful way.
Criteria 3: Programme evaluation
Mentions the part of the programme that needs improvement and gives reasons why. Give a reasonably good idea of what can be done to make it better.

Hey 02,
Congratulations for winning the IP cup! Congratulations for winning silver in 4x100m too. The 4x400m team did their best, so even though they did not win an award, we should still give them credit for effort. Congratulations once again! Even though some of us did not run, we still should share the pride and honour of those who had won, because we're a class. Yup. Congratulations!! Good job all. Thanks for supporting our teams too.
On a more serious note, please remember to do our homework.

hey class, term is ending.
we have finaly been together for near... half a year! yeah! we are half a year older!
that may be good or bad news for some of us. i, however, feel both happy and sad. sad because we only have six more terms together as a class. happy because we are older! but more of sad actually. time passes so fast.
well, anyway please go support the gym booth in the canteen okay? the one near the piano one. they are selling caramel and apple slices (which are actually really really super nice!) for $2 to raise funds. please support them okay?

Okay I know everyone's stressed/ tired because I am too. Badminton/ Swimming/ Canoeing/ Tennis/ Bowling/ Shooting/ Softball etc. Sports and all the competitions. NSC coming up. Dance for Aristal. People like me who have to cover all your bloody events. Blame it on Aristal, Track meet and SISC!
Jaesung even told me I look sick/ pale/anorexic/ whatever.
SO anyway.
